Fulfillment Assistant (Part-Time)

About Karst & the role
Karst was founded in 2022 as a premium hair accessories brand, focusing primarily on making high-quality hair claw clips and charms that are made to last for years to come.
This is a very hands-on role focused on keeping our orders moving smoothly and our warehouse space organized. You'll be responsible for fulfilling online and wholesale orders, preparing shipping materials, organizing inventory, and helping with the day-to-day tasks that keep our fulfillment operation running smoothly.
We're a very small and growing team, so we're looking for someone who is dependable and is comfortable working independently. This is a great fit for someone who enjoys a straightforward, predictable workday and doesn't need constant supervision or a fast-paced corporate environment to stay motivated.
What you'll do:
- Pick, pack, and fulfill online customer orders
- Prepare and fulfill wholesale orders
- Pick and organize products according to order specifications, including learning how to use a manual hand drill and perform very basic jewelry benchwork for orders with charms & charm rings
- Prepare shipping boxes, mailers, labels, and other packing materials
- Pack orders carefully and efficiently
- Organize and store incoming inventory
- Maintain an organized warehouse and inventory storage system
- Restock bins, packing and shipping supplies as needed
- Assist with inventory counts and general inventory organization
- Perform general warehouse and fulfillment duties as needed
- Keep your workspace clean and organized

- Is comfortable performing repetitive, process-oriented tasks accurately and efficiently
- Enjoys having a clear routine and working through a task list independently
- Can maintain focus and productivity while performing the same types of tasks throughout the day
- Takes pride in keeping things organized
- Is comfortable working independently in a small-team environment
- Is physically capable of standing, walking, bending, lifting and moving heavy boxes (up to ~60 lbs) throughout a shift
- Is willing to learn and help refine our fulfillment and inventory processes
- Has a positive, easygoing attitude and is comfortable in a relaxed work environment
Warehouse Environment

Our warehouse is partially climate controlled, which means the temperature can fluctuate depending on the weather. During Houston's hot summer months, the warehouse can reach up to approximately ~85°F on hottest days. We have cooling fans in our unit to help keep the space comfortable, but it is important that you are comfortable working in a warehouse environment where temperatures are not consistently maintained at a typical indoor/office temperature.
Location Requirement
Applicants must be located in the Greater Houston area and able to reliably commute to our warehouse located in Northwest Houston.
